WHAT IS A BLUE CRUISE
A Blue Cruise is the term used for sailing holidays along the Turkish Riviera, the coastline of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. It is also known as Blue Voyage and Blue Tour.
The Turkish Riviera is one of the most beautiful sailing and cruising destinations. There are a few theories how cruising along the Turkish Riviera came to be called a Blue Cruise. One theory is that Cevdat Sakir Kabaağaçli, who was known as the ‘fisherman of Halicarnassus’ was the founder of the Blue Cruise concept. Another theory is that its name was given by certain intellectual groups who enjoyed natural beauties, such as painters and poets, frequently sailed along the Turkish coastline.
